I am not an author, as I do, say or write things only to humor myself, but my niece is. I am curious to see how you compare in your approach to writing. My niece wrote her story all at once, over a million words separated into 8 books. It's a fantasy about the Fey Wars. She has the first 3 of her books on Amazon with the 4th due out soon. This was her approach so my question is do you write it all or a book at a time? Do you have several projects going at once?

I've looked into what other authors suggest for new writers and one of the top suggestions is to read other authors. Not being a cynic I was wonderi...actually I am a cynic and I find this very self-serving. Do you read other authors? What genre do you find most appealing?

Do you write everyday? Even if it's just a long grocery list? Do you keep a journal? How do you deal with distractions? Hungry hubby, amorous hubby, your children, the broken disposal, the broken mop handle, annoying subscribers to your website or any of a hundred other distractions?
